Qualifications
- 8+ years of legal energy experience
- Experience in energy, power, renewables, infrastructure or major projects
- Experience negotiating EPC and other complex project/construction agreements
- Background in leading law firm, energy company, utility, IPP, infrastructure developer or similar
- Lawyers with private practice experience are encouraged to apply
- Ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions while working with commercial stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Drafting and negotiating EPC agreements, equipment supply agreements, construction contracts and other major project documents
- Advising on project development, construction and operational matters across large-scale energy assets
- Negotiating O&M agreements, services agreements, procurement arrangements and other commercial contracts
- Supporting projects throughout their lifecycle from development and construction to operations
- Collaborating with engineering, procurement, development and operations teams
- Managing legal and commercial risk across high-value energy projects
