Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Senior Energy Manager to lead the company's energy strategy across its data-center portfolio. You will manage utility relationships, energy procurement, and renewables initiatives while coordinating with finance, operations, and engineering teams.

You will optimize power costs, forecast energy needs, and drive regulatory compliance and policy engagement to support growth and sustainability objectives. A strong background in energy markets and negotiation is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CEM, CPM) preferred.
• 7+ years in energy procurement; 5+ years with utility providers; experience with data centers or telecoms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement energy, water, and gas operations strategies.
• Negotiate and manage energy supply contracts and ISAs.
• Assess alternative power solutions including renewable energy.
• Analyze energy markets and adjust procurement and policy strategies.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, engineering, and construction teams.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in power design and procurement.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and reporting on energy activities.
• Lead risk management related to energy price volatility.
