Job summary

BDO USA seeks a Portfolio Utility Specialist to oversee program management and project delivery in energy efficiency and utility coordination. The role supports collaboration across teams and reports to the Energy Efficiency Portfolio Director.

The position blends remote and in-person work, focusing on driving project execution, stakeholder engagement, and analytics to advance energy programs for public and private sector clients.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of professional experience in energy efficiency, utilities, or consulting.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or 6+ years preferred.
• PM/energy credentials preferred or related certifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize operational processes for energy efficiency and utility projects.
• Support large-scale IRA programs; track regulatory developments; advise teams on strategies.
• Develop analyses and evidence-based recommendations for workflow, data, and M&V.
• Coordinate stakeholders and partners across utilities, consultants, and clients.
• Lead client-facing deliverables, workshops, and presentations; ensure quality and timeliness.
