  • Advanced degree in Meteorology or Atmospheric Science is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Weather Forecasting: develop operational forecasts for Duke Energy jurisdictions.
  • Short-Term Load Forecasting: publish hourly load forecasts for system optimization.
  • Major Storm / High-Impact Weather Support: forecast weather for hurricanes and severe events; assist with outages and restoration planning.
  • Interacting with multiple functions and management levels across the company.
