Job summary

Dominion Energy is seeking an experienced analyst to conduct long-term energy market analyses and to lead valuation and development efforts for regulatory matter support. The role focuses on building and maintaining forward-looking models for the IRP and other filings, ensuring compliance, and driving optimization strategies.

You will contribute to capacity planning, risk assessment, and financial implications while collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience in market analysis and/or long-term market modeling.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Knowledge of energy markets, financial analysis, utility terms, and capacity/ commodity markets.
• Strong written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Ability to develop presentations for external groups.
• Experience with capacity expansion or production cost modeling software such as PLEXOS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain long-term models to provide forward views and trends for developing markets.
• Perform modeling and analysis to support regulatory filings (IRP, CPCN filings).
• Ensure modeling aligns with applicable laws and regulations while delivering reliable energy.
• Contribute to capacity resource planning, risk assessment, and financial implications.
• Drive process improvements across the ISP team.
