Job summary

Energy Exemplar Pty Ltd is seeking a senior Lead Energy Market Analyst for the SPP and WECC region. You will work with clients to translate complex market dynamics into actionable models and demonstrations, guiding regional strategy and technical wins.

You will own the technical narrative, mentor junior analysts, and collaborate with Sales to drive pipeline while staying ahead of market changes and regulatory developments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in wholesale electricity markets, power system planning or energy consulting.
• Experience in SPP/Western Interconnection or equivalent regions.
• Hands-on model-building in energy systems (production cost, reliability, transmissions).
• Customer-facing pre-sales, scoping engagements and presenting to executives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain energy market models focused on SPP and WECC regions using PLEXOS to analyze market dynamics, constraints and dispatch.
• Translate customer problems into modeling workflows and a clear commercial value story.
• Design tailored demonstrations and proofs of concept built on customers' markets with measurable value.
• Own technical content of proposals and responses for the region, coordinating with Product, Services and Legal.
