Energy Exemplar is seeking a senior Lead Energy Market Analyst for SPP and WECC. You will lead pre-sales activity, build and validate market models, and translate complex data into actionable business impact for customers.

You will work with Sales, Product and Services to shape regional strategy, develop demonstrations, and mentor analysts while advancing pipeline across the Americas.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in wholesale electricity markets, power system planning, energy economics or energy consulting, with at least 3 years focused on SPP or WECC.
• Hands-on experience building and running production cost, capacity expansion or resource adequacy models in PLEXOS or Aurora, or similar tools.
• Strong command of SPP and Western market design: day-ahead and real-time clearing, LMP, congestion, planning reserves.
• Proven customer-facing experience in pre-sales, consulting or client advisory.
• Ability to translate complex quantitative results into a crisp commercial story.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain energy market models focusing on SPP and WECC regions using PLEXOS to analyze market dynamics and regulatory developments.
• Translate customer problems into modeling workflows and a clear value story.
• Design and deliver tailored demonstrations, workshops, and proofs of concept built on the customer's market.
• Own the technical content of proposals, RFPs and SOWs for the region, coordinating with Product, Services and Legal.
• Mentor analysts and drive pipeline progression with Sales and regional leadership.
• Create reusable demonstration assets and enablement content for the wider Americas team.
• Serve as public voice on SPP and Western market topics through papers and webinars.
