You will lead modeling efforts, deliver bespoke proofs of concept, and support regional sales with technical win rates.

The role requires deep market knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to translate quantitative results into business impact.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in wholesale electricity markets or energy economics
• Hands-on experience building production cost, capacity expansion or resource adequacy models in PLEXOS or Aurora
• Working knowledge of SPP and WECC market design: day-ahead/real-time, LMP, congestion
• Proven customer‑facing experience in pre‑sales or advisory roles
• Ability to translate complex quantitative results into a crisp commercial story
• Strong data skills: Python or R, SQL and advanced Excel

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain energy market models for SPP and WECC regions using PLEXOS and Aurora
• Translate customer problems into modeling workflows and value propositions
• Design and deliver tailored demonstrations, workshops, and proofs of concept
• Own the technical content of proposals, RFP/RFI responses and statements of work for the region
• Mentor analysts and drive pipeline with Sales and Marketing
• Create reusable demonstration assets and enablement content for the Americas team
• Represent Energy Exemplar on SPP/WECC topics through papers, webinars, and events
