Job summary

Energy Exemplar Pty Ltd is seeking a Lead Energy Market Analyst for SPP and WECC to work with prospects and existing clients, increasing sales and delivering technical pre-sales work. You will identify use cases, prove value through demonstrations and pilots, and shape regional market strategy.

You will be the subject matter expert on SPP and WECC market design, resource adequacy, and transmission planning, with wide latitude as a senior IC and mentor to peers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain energy market models focused on SPP and WECC regions using PLEXOS to analyze market dynamics, transmission constraints, generation dispatch, and regulatory developments.
• Translate customer needs and market developments into modeling workflows with clear commercial value.
• Design and deliver tailored demonstrations, proofs of concept, and workshops built on the customer's market, converting insights into opportunities.
• Own technical content of proposals, RFPs, and statements of work for the region, coordinating input from Product, Services and Legal.
• Mentor less experienced analysts and contribute to regional pipeline progression and technical win rate.
