Lead high-stakes energy transactions, advise on market design within PJM/MISO/SPP/EROT, and navigate FERC regulatory matters with a focus on the energy transition. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in energy law, a JD from an accredited law school, and is capable of building a strong practice within a global law firm while mentoring junior

Qualifikationen

• 6 years of experience in energy law.
• Proven ability to manage complex transactions and regulatory filings from inception to completion with minimal partner supervision.
• Deep knowledge of the Federal Power Act, wholesale power markets, and power transaction structures.

Aufgaben

• Lead Data Center Power Transactions: draft and negotiate power purchase agreements, energy service agreements, and interconnection arrangements for developers, utilities, and corporate buyers.
• Market Design & RTO/ISOs: advise on electric market design issues within RTOs/ISOs (PJM, MISO, SPP, ERCOT, CAISO).
• FERC regulatory: represent clients before FERC and advise on market-based rate programs and related compliance.
• Federal energy policy: counsel on energy policy, renewable integration, and carbon-free procurement strategies.
• Practice development: contribute to client relationships and thought leadership in digital and energy infrastructure.
