Job summary

Willdan Energy Solutions is actively seeking a Senior Field/Sales Engineer to lead energy, electrification, and decarbonization assessments for public and private customers in the Los Angeles region.

You will develop near- and long-term energy-saving solutions aligned with program goals, produce ROM cost estimates, and support the sales cycle with technical input and client-facing communications.

Qualifications

• Experience in energy efficiency and decarbonization projects.
• Experience with energy assessments and data collection.
• Experience with distributed energy resources and microgrids is a plus.
• Ability to lead field teams and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field engineering staff to meet service cycle times.
• Lead energy assessments and ROM cost estimates to support sales.
• Develop ROM energy savings and communicate findings to clients.
• Coordinate with program engineers on incentive eligibility and documentation.
• Develop and implement software solutions relevant to project delivery.
• Travel regionally for on-site energy assessments and client meetings.
• Mentor junior engineers and train staff.
• Prepare client-ready reports and presentations for stakeholders.
