Partner Engineering & Science, Inc. in Asbury Park, NJ is seeking an Energy Engineer III to lead complex energy projects, including audits, modeling, commissioning, and sustainability studies.

You will mentor junior staff and ensure technical quality and best practices across the team. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of building systems and strong leadership abilities to guide clients and team members through energy and sustainability initiatives across multifamily, office, and industrial

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 7+ years of energy experience, or a Master’s with 5+ years.
• Strong building systems analysis, energy audits, and modeling experience.
• Proven project management and multidisciplinary team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead energy audits (ASHRAE I-III) across multifamily, office, industrial, healthcare, and retail.
• Perform and oversee whole-building energy modeling using industry-standard software.
• Lead commissioning and retro-commissioning investigations, testing, and implementation support.
• Evaluate energy conservation measures and renewable energy opportunities for technical and financial feasibility.
• Develop and standardize best practices for technical analyses, audit reports, modeling workflows, and project delivery.
• Prepare, review, and approve technical reports, client deliverables, and engineering recommendations.
• Manage project teams, including associates, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and quality control.
• Mentor junior engineers and support training, development, and technical growth across the team.
• Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and development of technical staff.
• Support client communications, project reviews, and issue resolution throughout project delivery.
• Maintain utilization targets and uphold company policies, procedures, and values.
