Econ One Research seeks an Analyst/Senior Analyst to support our Energy Practice. You will contribute quantitative analysis, data management, and research on electricity and power markets in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required in Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Optimization or Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in energy consulting, economic consulting, electric utility, power markets or related analytical role.
• Experience working with large, messy, or complex datasets.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with statistical concepts.
• Proficiency with Python, GAMS, and Excel for data analysis and presentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Commitment to accuracy, quality, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative research and analysis on electricity and power markets, regulatory issues, and litigation matters.
• Construct, clean, and manage large datasets using Python and Excel.
• Perform data analysis, statistics, and investigative work with minimal supervision.
• Prepare clear memoranda, exhibits, and presentations of analytical findings.
• Assist in preparing expert reports, declarations, and testimony materials.
• Review work product for accuracy, consistency and completeness.
• Support fact-checking and backup preparation for reports and exhibits.
• Synthesize information from discovery materials, testimony, literature, and public data.
