Job summary

Econ One is seeking an Analyst/Senior Analyst to support our Energy Practice. You will contribute quantitative analysis, data management, and research on electricity and natural gas markets for regulatory and litigation matters.

The role emphasizes handling large datasets with Python and Excel, and delivering precise work under tight deadlines. You will work with testifying experts, attorneys, and clients, gaining exposure to market structure, decarbonization, and portfolio risk management.

Qualifications

• Advanced quantitative foundation with strong attention to detail and interest in energy markets and litigation consulting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative research and analysis on electricity and power markets, regulatory issues, and litigation matters.
• Construct, clean, and manage large datasets using Python and Excel.
• Perform data analysis, statistical evaluation, and investigative work with minimal supervision.
• Prepare clear memoranda, exhibits, and presentations summarizing analytical findings.
• Assist in preparing expert reports, declarations, and testimony materials.
• Review work for accuracy and consistency.
• Support fact checking and backup preparation for reports and exhibits.
