Job summary

IMPACTenergy is recruiting a Senior Retro-Commissioning (RCx) / Energy Auditor – Building Energy Engineer to perform on-site energy audits, RCx investigations, and report findings for large commercial facilities. The role is a part-time 1099 independent contractor with remote work, primarily travel to Colorado.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience performing commercial energy audits, commissioning, or retro-commissioning.
• Experience with large commercial buildings (100,000+ SF).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, BAS, DDC, ECMs; energy calculations and savings analyses.
• Exceptional technical writing and strong communication/presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site energy audits and RCx site investigations (ASHRAE Levels I-III).
• Prepare engineering reports with findings, recommendations, and payback analysis.
• Develop sequences of operation for controls contractors and implementable plans.
