Job summary

Frontier Energy, Inc. seeks a Senior Energy Analyst to lead multifamily building energy audits across Minnesota, identify energy-saving opportunities, and calculate electric and gas savings with TRM methods. You will mentor staff, provide technical guidance, and ensure QA/QC of audits and calculations.

The ideal candidate has strong building science expertise, can lead on-site audits, and acts as a trusted advisor to customers while advancing program standards and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in building energy audits, assessments, commissioning, HVAC analysis, or related building energy work.
• Experience evaluating building systems, identifying energy efficiency measures, and calculating energy savings using established methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and working knowledge of domestic hot water, pumps, motors, lighting, controls, and building envelope measures.
• Ability to independently conduct site audits, perform technical analysis, and clearly communicate recommendations to customers.
• Strong customer service, collaboration, problem-solving, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan, conduct, and document multifamily energy audits across Minnesota client service area.
• Evaluate HVAC, boilers, DHW, pumps, motors, lighting, controls, and building envelope; calculate energy savings.
• Apply Minnesota TRM methodologies and program requirements to develop recommendations.
• Assess technical applicability, energy savings, cost-effectiveness, and incentives for measures.
• Develop audit reports communicating findings, savings, and actions.
• Provide QA/QC of audits, calculations, and recommendations by others.
