Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a Senior Development Energetics Manufacturing Engineer to bridge design and production for SRMs. You will own and optimize manufacturing processes, lead equipment specifications, and manage procurement from concept to on-site deployment.

You will serve as the SME on the floor, developing robust processes, writing SOPs, and driving continuous improvement with Lean/Six Sigma methods. This is a hands-on engineering role in a high-stakes propulsion environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years in a manufacturing engineering role, developing and deploying new production processes.
• Experience leading capital equipment projects including specification, sourcing, and installation.
• Hands-on SME on the production floor with safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Own designated manufacturing processes from concept to production deployment.
• Design, develop, and validate new processes and equipment per specs and safety standards.
• Lead sourcing and procurement of complex capital equipment and manage external vendors.
• Act as SME, support production floor with real-time process refinement.
• Drive Lean and Six Sigma improvements for safety, quality, and cost.
