Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Elkton, MD seeks Energetic Technician 2 or 3 to support energetic materials processing and propulsion systems. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Energetic Technician 2 requires 2 years in a manufacturing environment; Energetic Technician 3 requires 5 years.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing instructions and blueprints.
• Must be able to obtain respirator certification and forklift/hoist operation training.
• Willingness to work modified shifts, overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Follow supervision directions for fabrication of rocket motors and handling energetic materials.
• Read and follow manufacturing instructions; coordinate with non-manufacturing staff.
• Safely handle hazardous materials per OSHA and company policy.
• Operate production equipment and measurement tools (e.g., verniers, gauges).
• Support multiple manufacturing areas when workload requires.
• Identify discrepancies in design, planning or manufacturing non-conformance to hardware or material.
• Report safety near misses or incidents; tag out equipment as needed.
