Job summary

Ascensus seeks a Principal Architect to own the enterprise endpoint strategy, lead End User Computing, and provide architectural governance for Windows, macOS, and mobile endpoints. You will direct Intune, Autopilot, Apple Business Manager, and related technologies, aligning with security and procurement teams.

You will drive automation, vendor management, and lifecycle governance across hardware, licensing, and software distribution while guiding cross-functional teams and service providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. A master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressive IT experience with endpoint architecture or End User Computing leadership.
• Extensive experience with Windows, macOS, and mobile endpoints and enterprise endpoint standards.
• Deep knowledge of Intune, Autopilot, Apple Business Manager, Entra ID, Group Policy, BitLocker, NinjaOne, and Addigy.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and API automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern the enterprise endpoint architecture strategy, standards, governance, and roadmaps for Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms.
• Own OS standards, upgrade planning, feature adoption, and endpoint configuration baselines.
• Lead endpoint technology planning for acquisitions, migrations, and device refreshes.
• Act as technical owner for Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Apple Business Manager, Entra ID, NinjaOne, Addigy; design enrollment and patching processes.
• Drive cloud-based endpoint management adoption while ensuring security, scalability, and enterprise alignment.
• Coordinate with Cybersecurity to design endpoint security controls and Zero Trust initiatives.
• Oversee hardware, licensing, and lifecycle management for endpoints and vendor relationships.
• Provide architectural leadership and guidance without direct supervisory responsibility.
