Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Fellow in Encryption to shape strategy, architecture, and innovation in cryptographic systems for defense and national security.

The role leads cross-functional teams, drives secure communications, key management, and cryptographic modernization across programs, and guides certification and risk considerations with customers and government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• At least 25 years of experience in applied cryptography, secure communications, embedded security, and high-assurance cybersecurity engineering.
• Active security clearance or higher required.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in development of five Government-certified defense, intelligence, or national security products or systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the enterprise technical leader for high-assurance encryption technologies across applications.
• Define and guide technical strategy for encryption architectures, secure communications, and key management.
• Lead design, assessment, certification and deployment of high-assurance cryptographic solutions across diverse platforms.
• Advise program teams on security architecture, cryptographic integration, and certification considerations.
• Mentor engineers and architects in high-assurance cryptography across the enterprise.
• Represent L3Harris as a trusted technical authority with stakeholders and executives.
