Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a Program Chief Engineer to lead the engineering execution of advanced encryption products within a defense-focused business. You will ensure end-to-end technical, cost, and schedule performance across product development and serve as the primary interface between the Program Manager and the engineering team.

The role requires collaboration with engineering leaders, functional managers and customers, with travel up to 10% and a focus on delivering disciplined program

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical discipline; 9+ years experience; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary product development in aerospace/defense.
• Proven ability to manage cost, schedule, and technical performance in complex programs.
• Active DoD security clearance and ability to obtain program access.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering execution for encryption product efforts with accountability for cost, schedule and performance.
• Interface between Program Manager and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Drive development across systems, hardware, software, integration, test and certification.
• Communicate status, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership and stakeholders.
• Travel up to 10% within the U.S.
