Job summary

LifeLine Ambulance is seeking a qualified EMT Lead Instructor to work under the Director of Education, instructing EMT classes and arranging guest speakers for the program. The role includes planning, scheduling, and evaluating student performance while maintaining required records for EMS and IDPH.

Required licensure and teaching experience are specified, with a focus on delivering didactic content, supervising discussions and practical sessions, and mentoring students and fellow instructors in

Qualifications

• Current IDPH EMT-B or Paramedic licensure.
• Current IDPH Lead Instructor licensure.
• Minimum of three years’ experience as a licensed EMT-B or Paramedic.
• Previous EMT-B or EMT-P teaching experience.
• BLS Instructor Certification (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Manage daily class activities and learning environment.
• Monitor attendance and provide evaluations to students and departments.
• Deliver didactic content and supervise practical skills development.
• Grade quizzes, tests and assignments and maintain records.
• Mentor students and instructors and participate in department meetings.
