Job summary

Global Medical Response is seeking an Instructor: Lead Instructor for EMS courses in San Diego, CA. This per-diem role involves delivering content within the National EMS Education Standards and coordinating programs as assigned.

The Instructor will present content with the Training Manager, maintain instructor status, ensure current practice, and facilitate patient care scenarios and labs. A Paramedic or RN license is required; BLS/ACLS/PALS/PHTLS instructor credentials are preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication; maintain confidentiality.
• Work independently under pressure and adapt to changing needs.
• Lead and coordinate EMS courses per Training Manager.

Responsibilities

• Presents course content as mutually established with Training Manager.
• Maintains instructor status for standardized courses.
• Ensures practice and theory align with national standards and evidence-informed practice.
• Facilitates patient care scenarios and skill labs using approved tools.
• Maintains program equipment and documents student performance.
• Evaluates students across cognitive, psychomotor and affective domains.
