Job summary

Community Options, Inc. is seeking an experienced Employment Manager in Pittsburgh, PA to develop and implement employment programs for individuals with disabilities.

The role emphasizes collaborative work with other programs to meet employment goals and fiscal targets. The position involves coordinating community-based employment opportunities, supervising staff, and engaging with local businesses to expand job openings for participants.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in related field with one-year experience working with people with disabilities in an integrated employment setting, or high school diploma with three years’ experience in an integrated employment setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to impart knowledge to others and train people with disabilities on required curriculum.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide multiple supports to multiple participants.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate community-based vocational and employment programs.
• Supervise and evaluate employment specialists.
• Oversee development of employment and volunteer opportunities for persons with disabilities.
• Coordinate entrepreneurial business ventures involving persons with disabilities.
• Handle contract disbursements for community-based programs.
• Assist with contract procurement as required.
• Network with community business leaders to increase employment opportunities.
• Coordinate contract requirements with relevant agencies.
