Job summary

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. We are seeking an experienced Day and Employment Program Manager in Allentown, PA.

The role develops and implements employment programs while meeting programmatic and fiscal goals, collaborating with other programs to support individuals served. Starting pay is $45,000-$50,000 per year. Responsibilities include managing vocational programs, supervising staff, coordinating employment

Qualifications

• BA or BS in related field with one year of experience working with people with disabilities in an integrated employment setting, or a high school diploma with three years of such experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to train people with disabilities on the required curriculum.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and support multiple participants.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate community-based vocational and employment programs.
• Supervise, evaluate, and provide direct support to employment specialists.
• Oversee development of employment and volunteer opportunities for persons with disabilities.
• Coordinate entrepreneurial ventures involving persons with disabilities.
• Responsible for contract disbursements for community-based programs.
• Assist with contract procurement as required.
• Network with business leaders to increase employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.
• Coordinate contract requirements with appropriate agencies.
• Assist with grant development for vocational and employment programs.
• Participate in developing COBAC and report program status to Executive Director.
• Attend conferences, seminars, and training as needed.
• Ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations and other agencies.
