Job summary

Chubb Life Fund in Simsbury, CT (soon Windsor, CT) is seeking a Senior Claim Examiner in the Employment Practices Liability group to investigate and settle high-severity claims promptly and equitably. Under direction from the manager, you will report to the Assistant Vice President of EPL Claims and work with defense counsel.

We will teach you about Employment Law, contracts and claims, and you will develop skills to resolve discrimination, harassment and other workplace related claims.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required; JD preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and settle high-severity EPL claims promptly and equitably.
• Contribute to strategies for early and cost-effective claim resolution.
• Represent the company in meetings with management, partners, and mediations.
• Provide coaching and training support to new claim examiners.
