The ideal candidate has 7+ years of employment litigation experience, active Oregon State Bar admission, and a proven ability to manage complex disputes, including depositions, motions, and mediations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of litigation experience with a focus on employment matters.
• Ability to independently manage employment litigations and develop case strategy.
• Strong drafting skills for pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Proven deposition and motion practice experience.
• Experience handling mediations, trials, and complex disputes.
• Excellent academic credentials and strong legal writing.
• Oregon State Bar admission required.

Responsibilities

• Develop litigation strategy and advise clients on risk, exposure and potential resolution.
• Draft and respond to complaints, pleadings, motions and other substantive legal filings.
• Manage written discovery and complex case-related documentation.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Research, draft and argue substantive motions.
• Participate in mediations and other dispute resolution proceedings.
• Prepare employment litigation matters for trial.
• Manage cases and deadlines while maintaining strong communication with clients and internal legal teams.
• Collaborate with partners and attorneys across the firm on sophisticated employment disputes.
