Boly:Welch seeks a Senior Employment Law Attorney to join its litigation team in Portland, OR. The role centers on plaintiff-side employment matters, including discrimination, retaliation, wage-hour disputes, and civil rights work. You’ll manage cases from intake through resolution and maintain ownership of your caseload.

This is primarily in‑office with some flexibility to work from home when necessary. Oregon Bar and a JD are required, with 5–7+ years of employment‑litigation experience.

Your New Role

This established law firm is seeking a Senior Employment Law Attorney to join its litigation team. The firm focuses on plaintiff-side employment litigation, representing employees in matters involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and other workplace claims as well as plaintiff-side civil rights, fair housing, and disability rights matters. This opportunity also offers the chance to work closely with a shareholder who has built a nationally recognized franchise law practice and is looking to transition existing work and client relationships to the right attorney. Previous experience in franchise law or the firm’s other niche practice areas is not required; strong employment law experience and a willingness to learn and grow within the practice are far more important.

In this role, you’ll manage cases from intake through resolution, including evaluating claims, developing case strategy, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, taking and defending depositions, attending mediations and trials, and advising clients on litigation and business matters. You’ll work directly with clients while maintaining significant ownership over your caseload and practice development efforts.

This is a primarily in-office role. However, the firm prioritizes trust and autonomy and offers the flexibility to work from home when necessary.
