Job summary

Sigma Computing is seeking an experienced Employment Counsel to provide legal guidance on employment law across the organization. This role involves managing risk and ensuring compliance while supporting a positive employee experience.

The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor and 5+ years of experience in employment law, preferably in a tech environment. The position offers a salary range of $150k to $230k and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience practicing employment law, preferably in-house at a tech company.
• Workplace investigation training and experience is essential.
• Ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on employment-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Draft, review, and update employment agreements and policies.
• Advise on employee relations and dispute resolution.

Skills

Legal advice on employment matters

Knowledge of U.S. employment laws (FLSA, ADA, etc.)

Excellent communication skills

Stakeholder management

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
