Qualifications

• J.D. and active bar membership in good standing (NJ or FL preferred).
• Approximately five to seven years of legal experience with client interaction.
• Substantive experience in employment law, commercial contracting, or both.
• Clear, practical written and verbal communication to non-lawyers.
• Sound judgment, strong organizational skills, ability to manage a varied docket.

Responsibilities

• Advise internal HR, Operations, and Account Management on employment questions across multistate matters.
• Oversee the Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) program, including renewals.
• Manage agency charges and litigation with outside counsel from EEOC/state agencies to resolution.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and respond to redlines.
• Explain contract terms to clients and brokers, resolving questions about services.
• Support privacy, data protection, payroll tax, benefits, and licensing compliance initiatives.
• Draft and update internal policies and train teams on legal topics.
