Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks an experienced employment attorney to provide high-quality, risk-informed legal support for a global, employee-owned organization. The role reports to the Chief Counsel Human Resources and collaborates with HR and business teams worldwide.

Candidates should have a JD from an ABA-accredited school, at least 8 years of progressive legal experience, and be licensed to practice in the U.S. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Proficient analytical and oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to think strategically and advise on creative business-oriented solutions to legal issues.
• Mentoring or supervisory experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time.
• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.

Responsibilities

• Provide employment law guidance for a global, employee-owned architecture and engineering company.
• Advise on hiring, performance management, discipline, terminations, investigations, and immigration.
• Monitor global employment law changes and update HDR policies accordingly.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and internal stakeholders to mitigate risk.
• Develop and deliver employment-law training programs as needed.
