Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking an experienced employment attorney to lead our people-relations counsel portfolio and advise HR on the full spectrum of employment matters.

You will work across performance management, terminations, accommodations, and policy questions in a dynamic, global environment. You will handle international employment issues across 20+ countries, manage employment agreements and relocation letters, support AI tool deployments in HR compliance, and assist with litigation while

Qualifications

• Strong U.S. advice-and-counsel experience across performance management, terminations, accommodations and leaves.
• In-house experience advising HR business partners on the full range of employment matters.
• Hands-on employment litigation and administrative charges experience.
• Knowledge of U.S. HR compliance requirements (EEO-1, OFCCP, pay equity) and AI regulatory landscape.

Responsibilities

• Own a people relations counseling portfolio, providing first-line legal support on performance management, disciplinary processes, accommodations, policy questions, and exits.
• Advise on international employment matters across our 20+ country footprint, partnering with outside local counsel and HR.
• Support employment agreement workflows, including offer letters, separation and relocation documents.
• Drive compliance support for AI tools in recruiting and HR within the company’s framework.
• Partner with HR on EEO-1 reporting, OFCCP obligations, and pay equity compliance.
• Support employment litigation and administrative proceedings, coordinating with outside counsel.
• Track employment law developments and translate into practical guidance for HR partners.
