Job summary

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school.
• Minimum eight years of employment and/or labor law experience with knowledge of federal and California labor and employment law.
• Experience in complex institutional environments, health care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise senior leaders on employment practices and legal implications of organizational decisions.
• Monitor legislation, regulations, and case law; prepare opinions and analyses.
• Represent the University in administrative proceedings or litigation when appropriate and negotiate matters on its behalf.
• Collaborate with UCLA colleagues and UC Health locations on matters with broader implications.
• Provide training and guidance to leaders; assist in conflict resolution and mediation.
