HealthEquity is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel to provide strategic legal guidance on employment matters and manage litigation for a remote-based role in the United States. You will partner with the People Team and business leaders on hiring practices, performance management, internal investigations, and policy development.

The position emphasizes handling wage/hour issues, discrimination matters, and regulatory compliance, while offering bonuses and equity eligibility.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in any US jurisdiction.
• Strong academic credentials from a top law school (JD).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in employment law at a large law firm and/or in-house.
• Solid knowledge of Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FLSA, FMLA, OSHA and related state laws.
• Familiarity with Federal and State Rules of Civil Procedure.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice on employment matters to the People Team and business leaders.
• Manage the company's litigation portfolio and coordinate discovery responses.
• Support the Associate General Counsel in handling commercial and employment disputes.
• Navigate regulatory complaints such as wage/hour audits and discrimination charges.
• Draft workplace policies and deliver legal training.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws across the organization.
• Advise on hiring practices, performance management, and internal investigations.
