Job summary

Wintrust Financial Corporation in Rosemont, IL seeks a Senior Employee Relations Specialist to oversee employee relations across bank entities. You will handle complaints, interpret and apply policies, and support disciplinary actions while ensuring legal compliance.

With 5–7 years in ER and a corporate HR background, you will analyze trends, advise supervisors on policy enforcement, and contribute to engagement activities and change initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in Employee Relations (experience in financial services is a plus).
• Corporate Human Relations experience preferred.
• Some travel required.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a liaison between employer and employee across Bank entities, handling complaints and advising on policy applications.
• Investigates and resolves employee policy violations, escalates when needed, and communicates findings.
• Conducts investigations, documents results, and provides coaching or disciplinary actions as appropriate.
• Analyzes engagement, retention, performance themes, ER cases, EEOC claims, and related data to identify trends.
• Provides guidance on job restructures, eliminations, and involuntary terminations.
• Supports engagement activities such as surveys and focus groups and partners with the COE.
