Job summary

Chime is seeking a Principal Employee Relations Partner to advise on complex ER issues, partner with People Partners, and balance risk, compliance, and culture with a focus on fair and consistent employee experiences.

You will lead investigations, provide guidance on strategy and outcomes, and collaborate with Legal, People Operations, Compliance, and Benefits to ensure equitable results across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in employee relations or HR business partnering in complex environments.
• Deep expertise in employment law and HR compliance.
• Strong investigation, mediation, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to influence at senior levels and drive cross-functional alignment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication across diverse audiences.
• Data-driven mindset for identifying ER trends and solutions.
• Sound judgment addressing multifaceted organizational challenges.

Responsibilities

• Own intake, assessment, investigation, and resolution of complex ER issues.
• Serve as escalation point for high-risk matters with clear guidance.
• Conduct unbiased investigations with proper scope, evidence, and documentation.
• Provide expert consultation on ER risks and employment law considerations.
• Drive ER documentation and case management with defensible records.
• Analyze ER data to identify root causes and systemic risks.
• Coach managers on conflict resolution, performance management, and communications.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Benefits to ensure equitable outcomes.
• Ensure ER programs comply with federal, state, and local laws; update policies as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of ER frameworks and training.
