Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Senior Employee Relations Partner to focus on non-investigative ER work, supporting high-trust, high-impact people matters in a hybrid SF environment. You will advise leaders, shape AI-enabled workflows, and build scalable ER frameworks.

You will collaborate with the People Team to ensure culture, trust, and psychological safety while guiding complex employee moments with empathy and judgment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in employee relations or other People roles in dynamic environments.
• Non-conventional mindset with creative problem solving for complex people issues.
• Proven experience handling high-tension, escalated employee situations with discretion and empathy.
• Track record designing scalable, principled people solutions.

Responsibilities

• Advise and guide managers and cross-functional partners through complex or high-risk employee situations.
• Shape responsible adoption of AI-enabled tools within ER while maintaining confidentiality.
• Build scalable tools and frameworks to strengthen ER support across the company.
• Translate recurring ER challenges into scalable guidance, practices, and resources.
• Collaborate with HRBPs, Legal, and leadership to ensure alignment on people decisions.
• Navigate ambiguity with calm, creative, solutions-oriented mindset and move toward resolution.
• Use data to identify trends and advise on systemic solutions for cultural health.
