Job summary

Systems Engineering Services seeks an Employee Relations Consultant based in the Denver CO area to advise leaders and employees on workplace matters, investigations, and policy interpretation, while mitigating risk and promoting fair employment practices.

The role partners with HR, Legal, and other HR functions to address trends, support leadership, and ensure compliant, consistent application of company policies across client groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible HR experience with employee relations focus.
• Experience conducting investigations and advising on performance, conduct, and terminations.
• Working knowledge of applicable employment laws and their application in ER.
• Strong consultation, influencing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex matters with attention to documentation.
• Proficiency with MS Office and HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Consult leaders on complex employee relations matters with practical guidance.
• Conduct timely, objective workplace investigations with thorough documentation.
• Advise on performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Provide coaching and conflict resolution to leaders and staff.
• Assess risk and provide clear recommendations to management.
• Collaborate with Legal and HR stakeholders on employment-related issues.
• Ensure policy interpretation and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Maintain confidential documentation of ER matters.
