Brown & Brown, Inc. is seeking a Senior Employee Benefits Analyst – Public Sector to join our growing team.

You will serve as a lead analytical resource for public sector clients, delivering advanced financial analysis, strategic reporting, and data-driven insights across complex employee benefit programs. In this remote Florida role, you will drive renewal analyses, evaluate claims and utilization, develop long-term funding strategies, manage RFPs, and support carrier negotiations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in employee benefits, analytics, brokerage, or consulting.
• Advanced renewal and financial analysis, claims and utilization reporting, and RFP development.
• Knowledge of fully insured and self-funded plans; familiarity with ACA, COBRA.
• Public sector experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex renewal analyses across all lines of coverage.
• Evaluate claims experience and utilization trends to identify cost drivers.
• Develop data-driven recommendations for long-term planning.
• Lead the development and execution of RFP processes for assigned clients.
• Analyze and compare carrier proposals and their financial impact.
• Support carrier negotiations in partnership with the Benefits Consultant.
• Develop and deliver advanced financial and management reporting.
• Present renewal analyses and recommendations to client staff and leadership.
• Translate complex financial data into clear client insights.
• Partner with Benefits Consultants in strategic planning of client programs.
• Contribute to evaluation of new services or vendors.
