Job summary

AMD in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Senior EMIR CAD professional to lead the development and maintenance of EMIR/Voltus flows. You will collaborate with internal experts and EDA vendors to optimize toolchains, support global design teams, and drive flow improvements across advanced packaging and VLSI initiatives.

The role requires extensive scripting in Perl, Tcl, and Python, plus strong knowledge of Physical Design and CMOS fundamentals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the EMIR CAD team to develop and maintain world-class EMIR flows using state-of-the-art EDA tools (Voltus, Redhawk_SC).
• Provide tools/flows support to global IP/SoC/3DIC design teams and enable flows for new tech nodes.
• Collaborate with internal EMIR experts and EDA vendors to drive continuous flow improvements.
• Work with EDA vendors to resolve tool issues and bugs.
• Manage tool versions regression and qualification for deployment.
