Job summary

CesiumAstro, Inc. is hiring a Senior EMI/EMC Engineer I to join our aerospace and defense engineering team. You will develop EMI/EMC control plans, perform simulations, and guide cross-functional design teams to ensure compliance with military and aerospace standards.

You will plan and conduct EMI/EMC testing, analyze results, and prepare technical documentation for stakeholders. Strong collaboration and mentoring are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of EMI/EMC engineering experience, preferably in aerospace/defense.
• Deep understanding of EMI/EMC principles, standards (MIL-STD-461, DO-160, ECSS).
• Experience with EMI/EMC test equipment and simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EMI/EMC control plans and mitigation strategies.
• Guide design teams on EMI/EMC considerations and compliance requirements.
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct EMI/EMC testing per relevant standards.
• Model electromagnetic fields using CST HFSS, ANSYS HFSS, and FEKO to predict interference.
• Ensure documentation, certification, and reporting for EMI/EMC compliance.
• Investigate EMI/EMC issues and develop corrective actions.
• Prepare reports, compliance matrices, and design guidelines for stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and improve EMI/EMC practices.
