Job summary

CesiumAstro in the United States is seeking a Staff EMI/EMC Engineer to join our aerospace and defense engineering team. You will develop EMI/EMC control plans, perform testing, and mentor engineers to ensure phased array systems meet demanding standards.

Experience with CST HFSS, ANSYS HFSS, FEKO, and regulatory MIL-STD-461/DO-160/ECSS is essential. You will collaborate across design, test, and systems teams to deliver robust, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 8+ years in EMI/EMC engineering, preferably aerospace/defense.
• Experience with EMI/EMC test equipment and CST HFSS/ANSYS/FEKO.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-461, DO-160, ECSS.

Responsibilities

• Develop EMI/EMC control plans and mitigations.
• Guide design teams on EMI/EMC requirements.
• Plan and conduct EMI/EMC testing per standards.
• Model fields with CST HFSS/ANSYS HFSS for interference.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and documentation.
• Investigate EMI/EMC issues and root cause.
• Prepare reports and design guidelines.
• Lead improvements in EMI/EMC practices.
• Mentor junior engineers.
