Job summary

Stantec seeks an Emergency Management Specialist – Project Manager to join its Emergency Management Practice in the United States. You will lead and support multi-year EM and resilience programs for critical infrastructure owners, delivering high-quality client work and building trusted relationships.

The role blends project management with hands-on technical contributions, including developing EOPs, EAPs, COOPs, and exercises, and coordinating with infrastructure teams to expand EM services

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience delivering emergency management and resilience services for critical infrastructure.
• Experience managing projects with scope, schedule, budget and quality responsibilities.
• Knowledge of emergency management frameworks (NIMS, HSEEP, FEMA continuity planning).
• Experience developing client-ready EM deliverables (EOPs, EAPs, COOPs, trainings).
• Strong facilitation and client engagement with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to produce concise, technically sound written deliverables.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; staff supervision desired.
• Professional certifications such as CEM or PMP are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Programmatic emergency management delivery for large, ongoing contracts with client engagement.
• Project management oversight for critical infrastructure EM and resilience projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across scope, schedule, budget and quality.
• Lead client interfaces, meetings, workshops, and exercises with infrastructure owners and utilities.
• Develop and review client-ready deliverables (EOPs, EAPs, COOPs, training).
• Collaborate across disciplines to integrate EM services into projects and proposals.
• Support business development and cross-sell EM capabilities; maintain opportunity data.
