Day & Zimmermann is seeking an experienced Emergency Management Program Manager to lead the development and implementation of the Emergency Preparedness Management Program for DOE Headquarters facilities in the National Capital Region, and to define roles and responsibilities within the program. The role requires on-site work in the Washington DC area or Germantown, MD, and a DOE Q or equivalent clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Two years of experience may substitute for one year of post-high school education.
• Six years of relevant experience providing advice and assistance to management in security-related fields.
• Four years of experience in emergency management at a federal facility, developing emergency management plans and training.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Emergency Preparedness Management Program for Federal facilities.
• Prepare training curriculum for DOE employees, personnel and visitors.
• Establish EM program for DOE HQ facilities in the National Capital Region and define roles within the program.
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the DOE Federal Agent in the EMPM role.
• Update plans, procedures, and protocols for emergency actions.
