Job summary

Banner Casa Grande Med Ctr in Casa Grande, AZ is seeking an Emergency Department Technician. The role supports RN/physicians in a fast-paced ED, performing ECGs, vital signs, specimen collection, and assisting in minor procedures. You will help coordinate patient care and ensure safety across departments.

This full-time position includes varied shifts with on-call rotations, and requires BLS, EMT-B or higher licensure or CNA certification. Prior ED or acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• EMT-B or higher with state licensure or CNA is required for new hires and transfers.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of RN/physician, perform ECG testing and vital signs.
• Assist with minor procedures (suturing, wound care, lumbar punctures, etc.) as trained.
• Perform specimen collection and point-of-care testing where permitted.
• Document patient data, procedures, vital signs, and equipment use in the chart.
• Monitor stock levels and restock supplies and medications as needed.
• Participate in department meetings and assist in orienting new ED Technicians.
• Coordinate with staff and other departments to ensure safe, effective patient care.
