Banner Health Corporate in Tucson, AZ seeks an Emergency Department Tech Paramedic to join a fast-paced team in the Emergency Center. The role supports patient care under base hospital EMS Medical Director, with day shifts and weekend considerations.

The position emphasizes patient assessment, monitoring, and collaboration with physicians and nurses to deliver high-quality care to a diverse patient population.

Formación

• High school diploma/GED required; current Paramedic certification/licensure in the state of practice and maintenance thereafter.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS is required if in ED or with Pediatric population.
• 2–4 years of relevant work experience or 12–18 months in an educational program.

Responsabilidades

• Assess acuity level and match patient care needs to resources.
• Perform basic patient care: positioning, transport, phlebotomy, ECGs, spinal precautions.
• Administer or monitor medications as ordered and within scope.
• Perform cardio-vascular monitoring and management.
• Manage airway: oxygen, suction, ventilation, CO2 and pulse-ox monitoring.
• Assist in resuscitation of critical patients and observe patient status.
• Document assessments and discharge plans per guidelines.
• Communicate with staff and external contacts regarding patient care.
