Job summary

Banner Health in Page, Arizona seeks a Per Diem ED Technician (CNA/EMT/Paramedic) to support staff in the Emergency Department. The role involves assisting with patient care, maintaining supplies, drawing blood, performing IVs, and taking vitals on an as-needed basis with flexible hours.

You will work under RN/APN/PA/Physician supervision and support the care team, including documentation and effective communication with patients and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification is required.
• EMT-B or higher license or CNA certification required for new hires and transfers.
• Basic computer skills and effective communication required.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform ECG testing, wound cleansing, vital sign measurements, specimen collection, and transport of patients.
• Assist with minor procedures (e.g., lumbar punctures, suturing, chest tube insertion) within training scope and per state guidelines.
• Record patient information, vital signs, and procedures; communicate changes to RN/physician.
• Monitor stock levels and maintain medication and supply rooms; coordinate with housekeeping and biomedical staff.
• Attend department meetings and assist in orienting and training new ED Technicians.
