Qualifications

• Five years of job-related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience in the public safety field and/or emergency services.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Telecommunicator IV or equivalent responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide tactical leadership and first-line supervision to emergency communications personnel.
• Ensure efficient, accurate and timely operation of the Emergency Communications Center (ECC).
• Assume responsibility for the shift in the absence of the Platoon Leader.
• Oversee staff performance, coaching, and development; ensure quality assurance of emergency calls.
• Openly communicate with the platoon, DES, and the public as necessary.
• Assist with activations and drills in the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
