Job summary

Venturi Astrolab, Inc. in Hawthorne, California, is hiring a Sr. EMC Engineer to ensure avionics withstand electromagnetic environmental effects in space.

You will define design criteria for advanced avionics with a focus on EMI/EMC, in-space charging, and interdisciplinary requirements for lunar rover systems. You will collaborate across engineering teams, analyze grounding, shielding, and RF issues, operate EMC test equipment, and support flight hardware qualification and spacecraft

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM required.
• 5+ years EMI/EMC experience for spacecraft/avionics.
• Experience with analytics/modeling/simulation tools such as LTSpice and SPICE.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams to capture EMI/EMC requirements and trades.
• Lead design integration of EMI/EMC into rover avionics systems.
• Analyze grounding, shielding, emissions/susceptibility, and RF compatibility.
• Troubleshoot EMI issues from board to system level.
• Operate EMI/RF test equipment and document results.
• Support flight hardware qualification and spacecraft integration testing.
