Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Senior EMC Engineer to join the Air Dominance & Strike Electrical Engineering team. You will design, test, and validate EMC/EMI solutions for electronic products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in EMI/EMC design, familiarity with MIL-STD-461G, MIL-STD-464D, and DoD/ FCC/IEC standards, and strong problem-solving and communication skills for fast-paced development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of EMI/EMC design and testing experience.
• Experience with EMC/EMI standards and regulations (e.g., MIL-STD-461G, MIL-STD-464D, RTCA DOD-160, FCC, IEC, CISPR, SAE).
• Proven expertise in E3 design, analysis, testing and mitigation strategies (HERO, HEMP, Lightning Protection, ESD, RF exposure limits, and operational EMC).
• Proficiency with EMI/EMC testing equipment (spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, antennas, LISN).
• Experience with simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, CST) for EMI analysis.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; excellent communication for reporting findings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct EMI/EMC testing and analysis on electronic systems and components.
• Drive product maturity through rapid prototyping, design verification, and qualification activities.
• Develop and implement design strategies to mitigate EMI/EMC issues.
• Prepare test plans, reports, and documentation for compliance verification.
• Collaborate with product design teams to embed EMC requirements early in design.
• Identify EMI/EMC risks and define mitigation strategies through modeling, simulation, or experiments.
• Stay current with MIL-STD-461G, MIL-STD-464D, DOD-160, FCC, CISPR, IEC standards.
• Conduct field tests to evaluate performance in real-world environments.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
